Product DescriptionFor years, Elisabeth Hasselbeck couldn’t figure out what was making her sick. She asked doctors and consulted nutritionists, but no one seemed to have any answers. It wasn’t until spending time in the Australian Outback, living off the land on the grueling Survivor TV show, that, ironically, her symptoms vanished. Returning home, she pinpointed the food that made her sick — gluten, the binding element in wheat. By simply eliminating it from her diet, she was able to enjoy a completely normal, healthy life. But that wasn’t all. Hasselbeck discovered the myriad benefits that anyone can enjoy from a gluten-free diet: from weight loss and increased energy to even the alleviation of the conditions of autism. In this all-inclusive book, Hasselbeck shares her hard-earned wisdom on living life without gluten and loving it. She gives you everything you need to know to start living a gluten-free life, from defining gluten – where to find it, how to read food labels – to targeting gluten-free products, creating G-Free shopping lists, sharing recipes, and managing G-Free living with family and friends.

Just the kind of book I wanted, written by a nutritian expert like a co host on The View. I am tired of Suzanne Sommers and all the other celebs tryijng to make an extra buck off gullible celebrity roadies. When will the public learn. What is her medical training in this field? ZERO

Why would anyone go to Barns and Noble or Boarders when you get the best selections of books, excellent service and delivery, plus you cannot beat the AMAZON prices. You get a tracking number and delivery on the date promised.

Thanks,

Bob Rios

This really isn’t worth the money. I like her but there are better books on living “g-free”

That’s the only reason I can see for the comments giving this book a five star rating. Those reviews must have been written by her family and friends. This book is an atrocious pile of pure garbage about the disease. I am actually angry that this book was published. If you have already purchased this book throw it in a landfill where it belongs!

I read enough in the Amazon reviews to alert me I’d better be careful on this one, and I browsed it in a bookstore – but where I really examined the G-Free Diet was in the library, along side of several other resources on celiac. For solid information – the other books were so far superior. Easier to figure out, easier to trust. The cover of the G-Free Diet – oh how cute. But I don’t want cute, I want reliable, substancial, trustworthy information. I am so happy to learn there are some excellent resouces already on the market. A great web page lists them: [. . . ]
